Although not one of her best, Heather Graham's "The Killing Edge" is still a very enjoyable read. The protagonists are both "damaged" people trying to deal with past horrors and afraid of relationships as a result. Yes, you know Chloe and Luke will get together (this IS a Heather Graham book), but the dance they do to avoid their growing attraction is amusing. Chloe is a strong female character, living a fulfilled life in which a man is a "nice to have" rather than a "need to have." It's always enjoyable to reunite with old friends like Adam Harrington and the Blackhawks; such recurring characters make everyone seem more real. I did figure out who the killer was very early on, but I can do that with almost any book, which is why I don't read mystery novels unless they also have a good love story and lots of spooky stuff going on to keep me entertained until my suspicions are proved right.
