Locke of the Forest is set in a fantasy forest, in which civilisations of people live simply and peacefully. Their life revolves around the rankings that separate the top rating Besars from the lowly Rendahs. Civilisation frowns upon connections made between different ranks, and unfortunately for Locke, the heiress of the Clearing people, her childhood friend Kiernan is only a middle ranking Tengah, unlike the high-ranking, sly Alexion. Their whole lives are turned around when Kiernan is called to go see Amelie, the wise one, who tells them about people in the forest with special powers, and without whom the forest is doomed to destruction. The characters discover that though their powers enable them to do many things, they can only go so far when it comes to life and love. A passionate, emotional story about friendship, obstacles, life and love, Locke of the Forest is a story that will touch the hearts of young and old alike.
